其藝術，深受南洋第一代宗師〈南洋風格〉，以及南洋美專校長林學大，辦學方針：𡿨六大綱領〉治學精神的影響，并進一步，研發突破，則創造獨樹一幟的〈新南洋風格〉。也是當代新南洋水墨藝術，極重要的一位舵手。從60年代，平面陰陽，分割经营空間，到意度、異度想象空間，以及道家的＂道法自然＂，儒家的＂平衡论＂，佛家的＂包容＂，呈現，有限無限到，法旡定法，物旡定位，筆居意先，總結，《一間》的兩極思維論。此哲理，則含括了，人性修行的追求：如藝道，書道，茶道，商道,政道等等。

His art is deeply influenced by the first generation Nanyang Masters and the educational philosophy of Lin Xue Da, the Principal of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, who emphasized the "Six Great Principles" and the spirit of scholarship. Dr. Cheah has further developed and created a unique "New Nanyang Style."
He is considered a significant navigator in contemporary Nanyang ink art. His artistic journey evolved from the 1960s when he explored the duality of space in his artwork, transitioning from a two-dimensional
representation to imaginative spaces. His work also draws inspiration from Daoism's "Taoism and Nature," Confucianism's "Doctrine of the Mean," and Buddhism's "Inclusiveness," presenting a fusion of finite and infinite concepts. His artistic philosophy encompasses various aspects of human pursuits, such as the pursuit of art, calligraphy, tea culture, business ethics, and political philosophy.
This philosophical approach encapsulates the quest for human self-improvement in various disciplines, including the Way of Art, the Way of Calligraphy, the Way of Tea, the Way of Business, and the Way of Politics.
